This has been a hard year for me. I had to get used to a new school and there is a lot of work. Throughout this first half-year at DSA, the most important and useful thing I have learned is copyright law. The main reason is because it is real world knowlegdge that I will have to understand and use constantly as a game designer and artist. I will most likely use it to check my own work to see if anything could get me sued under copyright law. I also need to be able to protect my own creative designs and products. I am super exited to do consept art for video games. That is the project I am most looking forward to because that is what I want to do after I graduate from DSA.
I want you to reflect upon this year so far. What do you consider to be the most interesting or useful information you have gained this year? Why do you think this information in interesting or important? How do you think you will use this information between now and graduating from DSA, regardless of being a GAD concentrator or not? What are you most looking forward to doing in this class in the coming months?
